Energy Conservation

Airman 1st Class Caleb Pierce, 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs, Ramstein Air Base Germany turns off the light as he leaves his work center October 13, 2009. October is energy conservation month which provides us the opportunity to increase awareness of the energy challenges that confront our Air Force. It's easy to develop our own personal conservation habits at home where we pay the bill, but that doesn't excuse us from practicing those habits at work. According to Executive Order 13423 energy conservation will soon no longer be optional and mandates that all federal agencies reduce their energy intensity consumption 30 percent by 2015.
