Fighter squadron commander achieves milestone
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – After completing 3,000 flying hours in the A/OA-10 fighter aircraft, Lt. Col. Keith McBride was watered down when he landed at Spangdahlem Air Base’s runway Sept. 6. The former fighter squadron commander also commanded the 81st Expeditionary Fighter Squadron at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, from May to September 2006, engaging in 24-hour combat operations.
