First bolt
Positioned near the rotor head on top of one of five MH-53M Pave Low IV Helicopters assigned to the 21st Special Operations Squadron, Senior Airman Brad Renninger, a crew chief in the 352nd Maintenance Squadron, removes bolts that hold the rotor blades in place, Oct. 02, 2007, RAF Mildenhall, England. Once the tear down process is complete, it usually takes an average two days; the helicopters will be transported to the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group in Tucson, Ariz., commonly known as the 'Boneyard.' All Pave Low helicopters in the Air Force inventory are due to be grounded by October 2008. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Tracy L. DeMarco)
