Moro'n Air Base key in OIF
A C-5, loaded with three Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles headed to a Marine Corps unit fighting in the Central Command Area of Operations, recently stopped at Morón Air Base. The base, operated by 496th Air Base Squadron, 86th Airlift Wing, hosted 75 members of the 725th Air Mobility Squadron stationed at Rota Naval Air Station, Spain in October while their runway was closed due to runway maintenance. During their five-day operation, they serviced more than 40 C-5’s and C-17’s loaded with cargo and more than 300 passengers. ( Courtesy Photo)
