Airmen provide optometry care to deploying African troops
BURUNDI, Africa – Tech. Sgt. Luis Gonzales, Maj. (Dr.) Craig McCluer, Capt. (Dr.) Nkurunziza, Capt. (Dr.) Michael Sapp, and Senior Airman Dale King stand surrounded by Burundi troops at Musaga military base in Africa. They provided optometry and eye care to two battalions from the Burundi that were preparing to deploy on a peacekeeping mission to Somalia. Major McCluer and Sergeant Gonzalez are both assigned to the 52nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base.
