Frisian Flag exercise moves fast with Mildenhall tanker gas
RAF MILDENHALL, England – Cpl. 1st Class Christian Schrik, a Royal Netherlands Air Force photographer, captures a 100th Air Refueling Wing KC-135 Stratotanker refueling one of his Air Force’s F-16 Fighting Falcon during Exercise FRISIAN FLAG April 14. To compliment the 351st Air Refueling Squadron’s more than a dozen sorties in support of the exercise, the 100th ARW Public Affairs office is escorting 15 photojournalists from three separate countries to document the historic endeavor. Corporal Schrik is one such photojournalist and experienced firsthand how RAF Mildenhall tankers are the lifeline to extending air operations and enabling global reach in Europe.
