Remembrance Sunday observed in local community
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- A Mildenhall townsman records the honor guard and marching contingent from RAF Mildenhall during a Remembrance Sunday ceremony in the town center Nov. 14, 2010. Leaders from organizations across the area participated in the ceremony by placing remembrance wreaths at the base of the town's war memorial. Remembrance Day, the British equivalent of Veterans Day, is observed annually on Nov. 11, the anniversary of when World War II hostilities ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
