Military pilgrimage to Lourdes

The Honor Guard from Ramstein Air Base stands with thousands of other pilgrims during the Marian Procession that leads to the Rosary Esplanade during the International Military Pilgrimage. The Pilgrimage originated in Lourdes, France, in 1944 when several multi-national military units came together to share a Mass in the Rosary Basilica. This marks the 53rd year of this event that has grown to more than 34 nations participating. (U.S. Air Force photo by Chief Master Sgt. David W. Richards)
