Allied Strike 2011
Belgian Joint Terminal Attack Control instructors talk to a Slovenian JTAC at the Combat Outpost Defense lane at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, June 28, 2011. The COP Defense lane trains JTACs on tactics, techniques and procedures for defending a COP against insurgent attack. They are wearing facemasks and eye protection due to the use of Close Combat Mission Capability Kit rounds, which enhance the realism of training. Allied Strike is Europe's premier Close Air Support exercise, held annually to conduct robust, realistic CAS training that helps build partnership capacity among Allied NATO nations and refine the latest operational CAS tactics.
