39th CES tests new fire suppression system
Officials from the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron and several contracted companies conduct the final certification and test of the new fire suppression system for the 414th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron hangar June 15, 2012, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The $250,000 system protects $12 million of equipment from fire damage by extinguishing flames with fire suppressant foam in less than four minutes. The final test indicated that the fire suppressant foam surpassed the designated 4-minute height requirement in only 50 seconds. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Gina McKeen/Released)
