39th CES tests new fire suppression system
Tubes dispense fire suppressant foam in the 414th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron hangar during the final test and certification of the new system that will protect the unit’s aircraft and equipment from fire damage June 15, 2012, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The final test for certification required the foam to reach one meter in 4 minutes; the system took 50 seconds to meet the requirement. The new fire suppression system took three months to install and is part of a project to improve the facilities for the 414th ERS. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Gina McKeen/Released)
