RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Members of the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing participated in Exercise Market Orchard, Aug. 27, 2013, outside of U.S. Army Garrison Baumholder, Germany.

The exercise scenario challenged members to setup an operational airbase that could provide humanitarian relief and operations from a previous bare base.

Airmen setup communications, a medical clinic, airfield operations, temporary living conditions, and provided their own security at the staged airfield. The execution of the exercise was to find and correct any variables not found in the initial planning and to fix them before a real-world event.
