Butler 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Airmen of the 48th Fighter Wing maintenance and logistics teams scored an excellent in the Air Combat Command Logistics Compliance Assessment Program inspection held Aug. 5 - 9. The LCAP provides leadership with an evaluation of a unit's ability to perform key logistics processes in a safe, standardized, repeatable and technically compliant-manner. "Through the hard work of our mighty maintenance and logistic readiness professionals, the wing achieved a composite score of 90.26 percent," said Col. Kyle Robinson, 48th Fighter Wing commander. The 748th Aircraft Maintenance Unit and 48th Munitions Squadron achieved an outstanding on their portion of the LCAP, with the highest scores seen to date for their respective type of squadron. The 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, 48th Component Maintenance Squadron, and 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron also received excellent scores. The 48th Mission Support Group and 48th AMXS received satisfactory scores, just missing an excellent rating, according to Robinson. "I am so thankful for the resiliency and dedication that our logistics and maintenance personnel have showcased," said Capt. Timothy Aanerud, 48th MXG LCAP lead. "It is really inspiring." Maj. Jarod Blecher, 48th LRS commander, had high praise for the squadron as well. "The teamwork and attitudes displayed across the squadron paved the way for impressive results, and everyone should be ecstatic that the long hours made this LCAP a success," said Blecher. According to Blecher, achieving an excellent rating means the men and women of the Liberty Wing have shown that they operate in an environment of compliance and proficiency. "Thank you for showing the inspectors what right looks like. I couldn't be more proud of our Liberty Wing Airmen," said Robinson.
