U.S. Air Force combatives instructors from the 435th Security Forces Squadron visited from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to conduct a week-long combative skills training course for 31 SFS Airmen at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Completion of the course will allow 20 of Aviano's defenders to take the training they learned and teach it to the rest of the 31 SFS. All Airmen are taught Air Force combatives in military basic training, but this combination of Army and Air Force combative skills program is security forces specific and intends to teach security forces members how to protect themselves in the line of duty.
