RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany --

Maj. Gen. Paul D. Moga, Commander, Third Air Force, Ramstein Air Base, Germany opened the Awards Gala for the Boys and Girls Club of America European Military Youth of the Year competition on March 7, at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. He was joined by Cathy Terrall and Brian Hill, National Staff from the Boys and Girls Club of America. The event is an annual celebration that recognizes the achievements of youths selected by the Teen Centers at their respective military installations across Europe. Each individual’s selection is based on their outstanding contributions to family, school, and the community. Avonlea S. from U.S. Army Garrison Italy – Vicenza was selected this year to represent Europe’s military youth at the regional level, where she will compete for consideration as the National Military Youth of the Year.
