USAFE-AFAFRICA, NATO Allied Air Command Change of Command

U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa and NATO Allied Air Command will host a Change of Command Monday, June 27, at 2:30 p.m. local time.

Gen. James B. Hecker has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate, and he is scheduled to assume command of both USAFE-AFAFRICA and NATO Allied Air Command headquartered Ramstein Air Base, Germany, while also taking on the role as director of the Joint Air Power Competence Centre at Kalker, Germany.

Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian will relinquish command of all three organizations, and he is scheduled to retire after nearly 37 years of active duty service.
