USAFE announces 2005 Annual Airfield Operations Award winner

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany (USAFENS) --  U.S. Air Forces in Europe recently announced the winners of the 2005 Annual Airfield Operations Award.

The winners are:

Airfield Operations Complex of the Year: 52nd Operations Support Squadron, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.

Col. Derrel L. Dempsey Air Traffic Control Officer of the Year: Capt Jefferson R. DeBerry, Spangdahlem.

D. Ray Hardin Air Traffic Control Facility of the Year: 86 OSS, Ramstein AB, Germany.

Airfield Management Facility of the Year: 86 OSS, Ramstein.

Air Traffic Control Enlisted Manager of the Year: Senior Master Sgt. Charles A. Adams, Aviano AB, Italy.

Airfield Management Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Master Sgt. Samuel L. Franklin, Moron AB, Spain.

Air Traffic Control Watch Supervisor of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Corey M. Bowen, Aviano.

Airfield Management Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Robert T. Dickey, Aviano.

Air Traffic Control Controller of the Year: Airman 1st Class Crystal G. Partida, Spangdahlem.

Airfield Management Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Anne L. Andrade, Incirlik AB, Turkey.

Terminal Instrument Procedures Specialist of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Frank A. Fortunato, Jr., Ramstein.

Air Traffic Control Training Achievement: Tech. Sgt. Kevin M. McGarry, Aviano.

Airfield Management Training Achievement: Tech. Sgt. Joseph Valentin, Spangdahlem.

Airfield Management Supervisor (Civilian) of the Year: Christoph Steffgen, Spangdahlem.

Airfield Management Journeyman (Civilian) of the Year: Dirk Seifert, Ramstein.
