James Bowen is a professional storyteller, librarian and educator who has been sharing stories of far away lands, knights and dragons and the common folk found in simple country tales. For more than 17 years, he has entertained young and old alike with folk tales and folk music. His taste buds for his material come from the deep South where, he says, “gumbo and ‘gators are served up daily.”

Scott Hensley has been entertaining audiences around the world with his musical talents for the past 20 years. Classically trained as a singer, he has found a home in folk music and folk stories. For the past five years, he has traveled throughout the Southwest, amusing kids young and old. With humor and a booming voice, Hensley draws his audience into a lively concert experience that leaves them wanting more. He is an adjunct professor at Nova Southern University teaching ‘Technology and Information Literacy in School Libraries’ to future librarians.

The duo’s “boots are laced and our saddles are cinched for a rip-roaring ride in Europe with Extreme Summer!” said Bowen about this year’s tour. He said the team’s performance is called “Around the World in Song and Story” and “is a multi-cultural event performed in Spanish, French and English.”
