Ramstein Airmen honored as General Lew Allen award nominees

Two members of the 86th Airlift Wing were recently selected as U.S. Air Forces in Europe’s nominees for the 2005 General Lew Allen, Jr. award.

Maj. Matthew C. Gamblin, was nominated for the award in the officer category, and Senior Master Sgt. Reginald Glover was selected as the USAFE-level nominee in the senior NCO category. Both Airmen are assigned to the 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

The award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of base-level officers and Senior NCOs in aircraft, munitions or missile maintenance directly involved in aircraft sortie generation.

Major Gamblin and Sergeant Glover will both represent the command at the Air Force-level competition.
