USAFE announces Family Child Care Provider of the Year Published March 17, 2006 SEMBACH AIR BASE, Germany (USAFENS) -- U.S. Air Forces in Europe Services recently announced the 2005 USAFE Family Child Care Provider of the Year.Shannon Pearson of Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England , was named this year’s award winner.The Provider of the Year Program recognizes excellence as an early childhood educator, commitment to educational achievement, enhancement of children’s learning, and outreach to the community.Ms. Pearson was selected from more than 100 providers for her service to the RAF Mildenhall community and the children in her care; her example as a committed professional working with children of all cultures and abilities; and her concern for children’s health and safety, education, and well-being.
