USAFE names LULAC award nominee

An Airman assigned to the Friedberg Army Installation, Germany, was recently honored as the U.S. Air Forces in Europe nominee for the 2005 League of United Latin American Citizens Excellence in Military Service Award.

Master Sgt. Scott Loescher, Detachment 1, 1st Air Support Operations Squadron, was nominated for his exceptional leadership as battalion air liaison officer while serving in Iraq in support of the global war on terrorism.

The League of United Latin American Citizens presents a total of 12 awards each year to men and women who have distinguished themselves in the war on terrorism, whose activities best support the ideals of duty, honor and country, or who best epitomize the core values and the citizen-warrior attributes of their respective military service.

LULAC was founded in 1929. Its mission is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.
