USAFE Libraries bookmark design winners announced Published March 21, 2006 By USAFE News Service SEMBACH AIR BASE, Germany (USAFENS) -- U.S. Air Forces in Europe Services recently announced the winners of the USAFE Libraries-sponsored Bookmark Design Contest held during April as part of National Library Week. Winners in each of the four submission categories are: Reyhan Schmidt, a third-grader from Incirlik Air Base, Turkey Danielle Sadlo, a sixth-grader from Aviano AB, Italy Hannah Wheeler, an eighth-grader from Izmir AB, Turkey Christina Ann Slauenwhite, an 11th-grader, Menwith Hill Station, England Honorable mention Amy Goodnite, eighth-grader from Vogelweh, Germany USAFE youth submitted dozens of bookmarks for the contest, based on the theme “Something for everyone @ your library.” Winning submissions will be featured on bookmarks to be distributed at USAFE libraries. The winning bookmarks, along with a selection of additional entries, will be posted on the USAFE Library website at www.usafelibraries.org.
