Lakenheath Senior NCO honored with logistics award nomination Published March 21, 2006 By USAFE News Service RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany (USAFENS) -- A senior non-commissioned officer assigned to Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, was recently honored as the U.S. Air Forces in Europe nominee for the 2004 Colonel Gail Halvorsen Award. Master Sgt. Michael R. Crawford, 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron, was honored as the command’s nominee for the award for his outstanding air transportation support in the logistics readiness career field. Sergeant Crawford will now compete in the Air Force-level competition.
