USAFE announces Safety Award winners

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany (USAFENS) -- U.S. Air Forces in Europe recently announced the USAFE Safety Award winners.

The winners are:

Outstanding Unit (Cat I): 48th Fighter Wing, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England

Outstanding Unit (Cat II): 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany

Flight Safety Officer of the Year: Maj. Michael Biorn, Lakenheath

Flight Safety NCO of the Year: Master Sgt. John Levingston, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany

Ground Safety Manager of the Year: Master Sgt. Michael Neff, Ramstein

Ground Safety Technician of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Theresa Lex, Spangdahlem

Ground Safety Representatives Of The Year (4): 1st Lt. Jonathon Whittaker, Spangdahlem; Staff Sgt. Matthew Oleson, Lakenheath; Senior Airman Joseph Allred, Lakenheath; Tech. Sgt. Paul Pemberton, Spangdahlem

Weapons Safety NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Jody Wray, Lakenheath
