USAFE announces the 2006 Airfield Operations Award winners

US Air Forces in Europe recently announced the 2006 Airfield Operations Award Winners. 

The winners are: 

Airfield Operations Complex of the Year: 86th Operations Support Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. 

Col. Derrel L. Dempsey Air Traffic Control Officer of the Year: Capt. Lloyd G. Dropps, Ramstein.

D. Ray Hardin Air Traffic Control Facility of the Year: 100th OSS, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England.

Airfield Management Facility of the Year: 100th OSS, Mildenhall.

Air Traffic Control Enlisted Manager of the Year: Senior Master Sgt. Garth D. Peterson, Mildenhall. 

Airfield Management Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Master Sgt. Patrick W. Combs, Mildenhall. 

Air Traffic Control Watch Supervisor of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Dean H. Gracey, Lajes Field, Azores.

Airfield Management Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Gary J. Kaufman,  Ramstein.

Air Traffic Control Controller of the Year: Staff Sgt. Julian R. Butler, Mildenhall.

Airfield Management Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Lonnie J. Engstrom , Aviano Air Base, Italy.

Air Traffic Control Training Achievement: Master Sgt. Julie M. Nicolas, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.

Airfield Management Training Achievement: Staff Sgt. Stacy L. Miller, Incirlik.
