Hundreds of enthusiasts flooded the Le Bourget Airport to attend the opening of the 47th International Paris Air Show. They brought with them their cameras, sunscreen, and curiosity for aircraft. With planes all around and in the sky, every direction holds something appealing.

This year's air show is open to trade visitors from June 18 to 24, 2007 and the general public from June 22 to 24, 2007 boasting over 2000 exhibits from 42 countries.

A range of United States aircraft and approximately 70 aircrew from bases in Europe and the U.S. have come to Paris to participate in this extravagant event. Such a location is perfect for the U.S to present our advanced aerospace technologies. The U.S. Air force and the U.S. Navy have created a display of the finest and most functional aircraft they have to offer to showcase the equipment necessary for present and upcoming military operation successes.

The United States Air Force also has an exhibit honoring its 60th anniversary. The aim of the exhibit is to highlight several of the significant achievements made by the U.S. Air Force over the last six decades to the public.

Master Sergeant John Carter, Superintendent of the Air Force 60th Anniversary Task Force, describes his assignment "Our mission has three parts. First, to commemorate 60 years of heritage, second, educate the public and our allies of what we bring to the mission, and third to appreciate our partnerships with our allies." It's mission that's not too easy. The exhibit was frequented by my interested viewers all had different questions.

With the air show set into motion by a productive first day all participants are left hungry for more.
