USAFE Services sponsors Project CHEER Paintball Championship Published March 25, 2008 By USAFE Services RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- On Saturday, Mar. 22, the Kaiserslautern Military Community''s Rod & Gun Club played host for the 2008 Project CHEER Germany Regional Paintball Championship, sponsored by HQ USAFE Services. Eight, three-person teams from Beuchel, Ramstein, Sembach, Spangdahlem, and Vogelweh competed in a double round-robin tournament. In the end, Ramstein team members Airman First Class Lance Santos of the 723rd Air Mobility Squadron, A1C David Duprey of the 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and A1C Joshua Harm of the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center withstood the competition and the varying weather elements to be the last team standing. Spangdahlem's 52 CES team of Anthony Pousen, Andrew Trelly and Matt Kraus were worthy runner-ups. Participants enjoyed the competition, post event cookout and fellowship with their fellow Airmen. Teams from RAF Alconbury, RAF Croughton, RAF Fairford, RAF Lakenheath, RAF Menwith Hill and RAF Mildenhall are currently gearing up for the UK Regional Paintball Championship on Saturday, Mar 29.
