Project CHEER enhances quality of life for single Airmen in USAFE Published Oct. 20, 2008 By USAFE Services RAMSTEIN AB GE -- Enhancing the quality of life for single and unaccompanied Airmen in USAFE is what Project CHEER is all about! Project CHEER is in its fifth year and continues to offer a variety of amazing and unique programs for Airmen, as well as some great prizes! Project CHEER stands for Creating Hope, Energy, Enthusiasm and Recreation for young Airmen and runs November through March annually. It is designed to provide additional support to single and unaccompanied Airmen ages 18-25 during the winter months and holidays. The special interest program develops and implements special events and programming that provide Airmen with various opportunities to socialize, relax and enjoy themselves. The following command programs are hosted by USAFE Services throughout this Project CHEER season: Glow in the Dark Golf in November 08, Holiday Cosmic Bowling in December 08, USAFE Texas Hold'em Tournaments January through March 09, Rock Band Jam in February 09 and Late Night at the Library running monthly throughout the season. Additionally each base will host a variety of fun activities for Airmen such as ski trips, fitness runs, Armed Forces Entertainment concerts and movie nights.
