Actors use humor to address tough topic

A production featuring actors who use drama and humor to share information about sexual assault is touring U.S. Air Forces in Europe bases through April 28.

"Sex Signals" actors demonstrate how to recognize early warning signs of relationship violence and prevent sexual assault, said Dr. Thomas Appel-Schumacher, chief of USAFE Sexual Assault Prevention and Response.

"It also highlights the critical issue of consent in a sexual relationship," he said. "Audience participation is solicited and effectively brings out important points."

8 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. April 17 at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany
10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 20 at Lajes Field, Azores
5:30 p.m. April 21 at Aviano Air Base Italy
8 a.m. April 22 at Aviano AB.
8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 23 at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey
3 p.m. April 24 at Izmir Air Base, Turkey
9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. April 27 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany
8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 28 at Ramstein AB.

The April tour of U.S. air bases coincides with Sexual Assault Prevention Awareness Month.
