A C-17 from the multinational Heavy Airlift Wing based at Papa Air Base, Hungary makes the new unit's first landing at Baghdad International Airport. The airlift into Iraq was a first by the wing comprised of 12 member nations and facilitated the deployment for members of the NATO Training Mission-Iraq. The wing operates three C-17s and includes NATO member nations Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and the U.S., as well as Partnership for Peace nations Finland and Sweden.
