The saying goes, "The customer is always right," and countless businesses stand by this. The 39th Force Support Squadron utilizes this axiom in an effort to make Incirlik the best assignment possible.

Focusing on customer support, the 39th FSS is also striving to be named the "best small force support squadron" in the Air Force for the fourth time in 10 years.

The Air Force awards the Gen. Eugene L. Eubank Award to the best small force support squadron and evaluates a unit's customer service, programs, facilities and equipment.

The 39th FSS has already won the honor at the United States Air Forces in Europe level and will be evaluated for the award at the Air Force level.

"Winning the Eubank is the gold ring of all FSS awards," said Master Sgt. Tony Criado, 39th FSS readiness and plans superintendent. "It exemplifies what we do in the 39th FSS on a daily basis. The Eubank Evaluation Team is here because we go above and beyond to serve our customers to the best of our abilities with the resources we have."

The evaluation team arrives Jan. 18 and will evaluate the 39th FSS through Jan 20, focusing on customer service support and Incirlik members who relay how the squadron contributes to their individual efforts.

"Though we're not the biggest base, we have a terrific workload for customer support," said Col. Andrew Pears, 39th Mission Support Group commander. "The Eubank evaluation is an excellent opportunity to showcase the accomplishments of Team Incirlik."

Though the 39th FSS would be the main recipient for the Eubank Award, it's because of Team Incirlik's feedback and support that the Service's squadron has the opportunity to be recognized as one of the best in the Air Force, said Colonel Pears.

"With our small, tight-knit community, we interact every day, and ideas for improvement are plentiful," said Colonel Pears. "We jump at the opportunity to make this the best place to 'work, sleep and play.'"

The 39th FSS has a vision of what it aims to accomplish for Incirlik: "To provide a full range of mission support and morale, welfare and recreation services to our in-garrison and expeditionary forces while magnifying the capabilities of our number one resource, people."

Working as a team, excellent customer support and a tight knit community. These are just a few ways the 39th FSS has separated themselves as one of the best AF services squadrons.
