One civilian employee and two Airmen from the 31st Force Support Squadron were recently selected as 2009's best of the best for the A1 community by the deputy chief of staff for manpower, personnel and services.

At the installation level, Dianna Doggette was selected as the Force Support Manager of the Year for flight chief/operations officer category, Tech. Sgt. Souksavanh Souvannavong was selected as the Services NCO of the Year and Master Sgt. Rosa Aumack was selected as the Services Senior NCO of the Year.

"Winning an Air Force level award is an amazing accomplishment signifying their commitment to duty and the mission," said Jude Sorg, 31st FSS director. "To be named 'best of the best' in the entire Air Force is no easy feat and validates their tireless efforts, personal sacrifices and dedication to duty to make where we live, work and play a better place."

Mr. Sorg believes it was the three recipients' example as role models within the squadron that led to their being selected.

"They've each led from the front, been innovative in their activities and committed their time to the greater cause -- the quality of life for our Airman at Aviano and within the community."

The three winners have combined more than 55 years of service to win the distinguished Air Force-level awards. That experience, dedication and commitment is what the FSS director says helped lead the 31st FSS in garnering "back-to-back" Major General Eugene L. Eubank Awards signifying the Best FSS/SVS/MSS in the Air Force.

"It's a proud accomplishment for the individuals and squadron," said Mr. Sorg. "They would each tell you that the entire 31st Force Support squadron shares equally in their recognition."
