ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- The Armed Services Blood Program held a blood drive here Sept. 27-28 .

The ASBP team provides 100 percent of the blood the 48th Medical Group uses, and ensures each donor is screened thoroughly before they donate.

"Our goal is to ensure the safety of the blood and the donors," said U.S. Army Capt. (Dr.) Amanda Bonvicino, ASBP medical director. "We have all these stations to make sure we achieve that goal."
