Command chaplain announces award winners Published Jan. 25, 2011 RAMSTEIN AIR FORCE BASE, Germany -- The U.S. Air Forces in Europe Command Chaplain Directorate announced the 2010 USAFE Chaplain Corps Awards Program Recipients Jan 21. These individual and team superstars provided outstanding ministry and service to USAFE members and their families. They have epitomized the USAF Chaplain Corps values of "Glorifying God, Serving Airmen, and Pursuing Excellence." The unit award winners are: - Charles I. Carpenter (Outstanding Large Chapel Organization) Award: 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. - Terence P. Finnegan (Outstanding Medium Chapel Organization) Award: 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy. - Robert P. Taylor (Outstanding Small Chapel Organization) Award: 65th Air Base Wing, Lajes Field, Azores. The individual award winners are: - Edwin R. Chess (Outstanding Company Grade Chaplain) Award: Chaplain (Capt.) Chad A. Bellamy, 421st Air Base Group, RAF Menwith Hill. - Gerrald Cullins (Outstanding Chaplain Assistant Senior Noncommissioned Officer) Award: Senior Master Sgt. Dale W. Mcgavran, 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. - Charles R. Meier (Outstanding Chaplain Assistant Noncommissioned Officer) Award: Tech. Sgt.Tamica L. Hales, 39th Air Base Wing, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. - Chaplain Corps Civilian Of The Year Award: Micah J. Steinwandt, 100th Air Refueling Wing, Raf Mildenhall, United Kingdom. These award recipients will represent USAFE at the next level of competition with other nominees from across the Air Force.
