Voluntary ground beef recall for Commissary Published Oct. 7, 2011 By 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Defense Commissary Agency Europe officials would like to announce a voluntary recall of all 93 percent ground beef with sell by dates of Oct. 7, 8 and 9. Some packages may contain small green elastic particles. The products affected are the 1 lb, 1.5 lbs and 4-count patties of 93 percent ground beef. Consumers can bring back any product with these dates to the commissary for a refund. U.S. Army Public Health Command Region-Europe inspectors are working with commissary officials to ensure all the affected products are pulled from store shelves. Contact your local commissary if you have any additional questions about the voluntary recall.
