New mobile app available across USAFE Published March 7, 2013 By Airman 1st Class Trevor Rhynes 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Service members across United States Air Forces in Europe have a new way to see what's happening around them by using the My Military Communities application, or MyMC2. MyMC2 is a free app developed by the 375th Communications Support Squadron at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The app allows users to access events hosted by a number of organizations near their bases on any tablet or smart phone by downloading the application through their respective app store. Users have the ability to search by key words, simplifying the list to only events that interest them. The app also provides a directory, where users can find and contact an organization through Facebook or a phone number. Information about the organization will also display on screen after a user has selected an organization. To download the app, go to your respective app store and search "My Military Communities," or "MyMC2." The 375th CSS developed the app for use at bases across the Air Force, allowing Airmen and their families to have access to information on events around them no matter where they are stationed. The app is available at more than 40 bases, so service members can find things to do whether their at home station or on temporary duty. For more information about the MyMC2 app, contact your local public affairs office.
