Historical highlights: 250 years of independence, partnership, and airpower

This "Freedom 250: Then and Now" graphic commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States by illustrating the enduring importance of alliances from the nation's founding to the present day. During the American Revolution, international partnerships helped secure American independence. Today, U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa strengthens collective defense alongside NATO allies and African partners through integrated operations, multinational exercises and enduring partnerships that promote regional stability and security across two continents.
