Holocaust child
Eva Clarke, shows a yellow star, given to her by a Holocaust survivor, to those attending the Holocaust Remembrance ceremony May 2 at the RAF Mildenhall Chapel. Born during the Holocaust, three days before the U.S. Army liberated the concentration camps where her Jewish parents were prisoners, Eva shared her mother's story of three years in German prisoner-of-war camps during World War II. Her mother was Czech and her father was German; both were Jewish. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere)
