Non-Destructive Inspector

Senior Airman Joshua Robinson, 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron Non-Destruction Inspection journeyman, dips a component into a chemical penetrent, which lights up under black light. After the component is dipped into the chemical, the surface is then cleaned, leaving only the fluorescence in the cracks of the component. This allows the cracks to be easily found when the fluorescence lights up under black light. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Nathan Gallahan)
