Air Force captain set sights on 2012 Olympics
Capt. Benjamin Sandy, chief of international training at the Office of Defense Cooperation-Turkey in Ankara, Turkey, and his wife, Angie, are preparing to qualify and to run the marathon in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Houston. A Newcastle, Wyo., native, who ran track in high school and at Dana College in Blair, Neb., Capt. Sandy ran the U.S. Air Force Marathon in September as part of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe team.
