  • Incirlik Air Base commemorates 20th anniversary of 9/11

    Nearly 100 service members assembled at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in northern Virginia. Among those in attendance was Tech. Sgt. Amanda Brown, 39th Health Care Operations Squadron flight chief of ambulance services, women's health and allergy immunization. She attended the event because as a native New Yorker, she was directly impacted by the day’s events.
  • RAF Mildenhall, 60th AMW support Afghanistan evacuation efforts

    U.S. Air Force KC-10 Extender aircraft and Airmen assigned to the 60th Air Mobility Wing returned to Travis Air Force Base, California, from Royal Air Force Mildenhall, Sept. 2.  RAF Mildenhall served as a staging area for the 60th AMW during their participation in Operation Allies Refuge. The 60th AMW conducted safe and orderly evacuations of eligible foreigners and vulnerable Afghans in close coordination with allies and partners.
