Colonel Reggie T. Reid

Col Reggie T. Reid is the deputy commander, 406th Air Expeditionary Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, supporting more than 1,300 deployed military personnel at six locations across Africa and Europe. As the sole U.S. Air Force wing on the continent of Africa, the 406th AEW provides base operational support; communications integration; senior airfield authority; personnel recovery; casualty evacuation; armed remotely piloted aircraft launch and recovery; and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations for U.S. Africa Command. Col Reid graduated from Carroll College, Montana, in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He entered the Air Force in 2000 after earning his commission as a distinguished graduate of the Officer Training School. He is a command pilot with more than 2,000 hours, having flown the C-130E and MQ-9, where he served as aircraft commander and instructor pilot. Col Reid was the Director of Operations prior to commanding the 29th Attack Squadron, 49th Wing, Holloman AFB, New Mexico.

Prior to his current position, the colonel served the chief of global ISR operations for the Office of the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Security, the Pentagon, Washington DC, where he provided operational expertise to the services, Joint Staff, combatant commands, and intelligence community regarding ISR requirements, capabilities, and challenges.
