Chief Master Sergeant JOSHUA J. WIENER

Chief Master Sergeant Joshua J. Wiener is the Command Chief, 435th Air Ground
Operations Wing (U.S. European Command) and the 435th Air Expeditionary Wing
(U.S. Africa Command), Ramstein Air Base, Germany. These specialized wings
provide battlefield and expeditionary Airmen to combatant commanders and are
capable of responding to humanitarian and contingency operations throughout the
world. The two wings are comprised of 5 groups, 22 squadrons and 4 detachments,
and more than 3,000 personnel at 11 operating locations between Germany, Italy,
Poland, and across 5 airfields throughout East and West Africa.

The 435 AGOW Airmen build expeditionary airfields on demand, provide joint Airpower
integration, enable multi-theater sustainment and support, deliver premier specialty
training, and build partnership capacity. The 435 AEW Airmen and Guardians operate
C-130, HH-60, MQ-9, and Guardian Angel weapons systems to conduct tactical airlift,
personnel recovery, casualty evacuation, and multi-role attack operations. As the
Command Chief, Chief Wiener is the senior enlisted advisor to the wing commander
and is responsible for the health and welfare, development, training and combat
readiness, recognition, discipline, and effective utilization of the organization’s multicapable
force.

Chief Wiener enlisted in the Air Force in September 1998 as an Aerospace Propulsion
Apprentice. During his tenure in the Air Force, he has worked, followed and led at the section, flight, squadron, group, wing
and MAJCOM levels, focused on taking care of Airmen, growing future leaders and executing full-spectrum maintenance and
operations on twelve different airframes, including the C-141B, C-17A, C-5B, F-15C/D, F-22, B-52H, F-16, F-35A, E-3G,
