4/26/2013 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Shayne Kusserow, 606th Air Control Squadron vehicle maintenance technician from Las Cruces, N.M., places concertina wire along the perimeter of a bare base during a combat readiness training course April 16, 2013. Combat readiness training is designed to educate and prepare 606th ACS Airmen for deployment operations. The concertina wire is just one defensive tactic used to deter enemies in a potentially hostile environment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Gustavo Castillo/Released)
