IPE preps Airmen for chemical, cold weather, training environments

4/19/2012 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airmen from the 52nd Fighter Wing gather chemical training gear as part of their in-processing to the base at Bldg. 103 here April 18. The 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Material Management Flight Individual Protective Equipment Element maintains, stores and issues IPE used by the 52nd FW. Airmen are issued real-world and training chemical gear, extreme cold weather gear, weapons and other training gear which is used during exercises that test the wing’s ability to protect the base and U.S. government assets during various real-world emergency events.
