Doctrinally train and develop joint, international firepower operators within academic, simulated, and live environments to enhance multi-national capabilities, interoperability and relationships.

Remain NATO’s premier joint firepower training experts, responsible for providing air to ground instruction and development of employment TTPs and readiness.

About the 4 CTS

The 4th Combat Training Squadron provides accredited Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Instructor and JTAC Evaluator courses for US, Joint, NATO, Partners for Peace and various African partner nations.   Additionally, 4 CTS leads EUCOM and AFRICOM in Building Partner Capacity (BPC) efforts towards Air to Ground Integration capabilities through its extensive involvement in select multinational exercises.

Detachment 1, 4 CTS, located at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) in US Army Garrison Bavaria-Hohenfels, Germany, performs the Observe, Coach and Train (OC/T) mission for TACPs aligned with US Army Brigades for multi-national exercises.  Det 1 aligns EUCOM air to ground operations and doctrine under a consolidated command and control network to ready the joint and combined force for major combat operations against a peer threat.
