Ramstein Air Base, Germany - The 510th Fighter Squadron from the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy, are participating in bilateral training with the Polish Air Force during Aviation Detachment Rotation 17-3 in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve at Krzesiny AB, Poland from 1-22 June 2017.

During the deployment, eight F-16 aircraft and 200 personnel from the 510th Fighter Squadron will conduct training and focus on maintaining joint readiness while building interoperability capabilities. While deployed to Poland, the 510th Fighter Squadron and aircraft will also participate in multinational exercises, Saber Strike and BALTOPS.

The Aviation Detachment supports four rotations every year where the 52d Operations Group, Detachment 1, represents the first permanent operational military presence in Poland. The rotations consist of squadrons or detachments from active duty and Air National Guard wings, which represent various aircraft and capabilities. Every rotation brings a unique set of opportunities for the United States and regional partners to explore new ways to train together and increase response capabilities.

Through these strengthened relationships and engagements with our Allies, the United States and NATO demonstrate their shared commitment to a peaceful, stable and secure Europe.
