Information Quest contest gears up

Beginning Sept. 15, U.S. Air Forces in Europe libraries are running a contest to highlight their website and electronic resources.

Each USAFE base library is participating in Project Wizard Information Quest, a contest that offers prizes as well as the opportunity to learn more about what resources libraries have available.

The contest is open to those 10 years and older who are eligible for a USAFE library card. To participate, sign up for an E-Resource Account at a base library, then logon to the library website from 15-30 Sept. to play. The contest consists of 10 questions and entry forms are submitted via the web.

“Information Quest is a fun way to learn about the databases available at our libraries. After the contest is over, we hope that people will keep using the resources,” said Melinda Mosley, USAFE command librarian. “If kids are looking for homework help, or adults are doing homework or research of their own, they’ll find that the USAFE library website is the place to go."

The contest will award more than $1,500 in prizes throughout the command. Prizes just for signing up include t-shirts, mouse pads, pens and pencils as well as wrist bands listing the USAFE library Web site. Contestants who answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly will be entered into a drawing for one of several iPods and flash drives.
