    U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Derek France, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa director of operations, strategic deterrence and nuclear integration, visited Royal Air Force Mildenhall to learn more about the global air refueling mission, Nov. 5. France visited the base to tour the installation, speak with leadership and engage with Airmen as part of a larger site tour of air bases in the United Kingdom.

    The 425th Air Base Squadron stationed in Izmir, Turkey, was affected by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred on Oct. 30, 2020 near the city.
