  • I-WEPTAC 2020 registration opens

    Registration for the fourth annual Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conference opened Tuesday. Hosted by the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, the annual event is the Air Force’s only innovation forum for members of the installation and mission support community.     The Heavy Airlift Wing is part of the Strategic Airlift Capability, a multinational initiative that provides participating nations access to military airlift capabilities. A C-17 Globemaster III, assigned to the HAW, Pápa Air Base, Hungary, delivered a Boom Operator Weapon System Trainer to RAF Mildenhall, England, Jan. 11, 2020. The BOWST trains boom operators for real-world operations while saving money and flying hours. It also allows instructors to evaluate students in a variety of scenarios while receiving real-time information on the student's progress, in a safe environment.

    ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Three members of the 48th Fighter Wing have banded together to raise funds and awareness in memory of the fallen 56th Rescue Squadron HH-60G Pave Hawk crew of Jolly-22. On Jan. 7, 2014, Capt. Sean Ruane, Capt. Christopher Stover, Tech. Sgt. Dale Mathews and Staff Sgt. Afton Ponce were killed when their helicopter crashed while performing a low-level training mission on the Norfolk coast.
